Job Summary

The Inventory Coordinator is responsible for inventory accuracy, documentation, assisting in counts and audits, tracks inventory adjustments and approvals, and creating timely reports for management.   


General Duties, and Responsibilities

  • Monitor and resolve inventory issues throughout Rex, Opportunities Inc., and MIW by generating and reviewing reports from the computer system, making or arranging inventory adjustments, and updating information. Investigate the root cause of inventory discrepancies and suggest corrective action. 
  • Assist with John Deere kitting project inventory. 
  • Perform physical inventory counts to review the accuracy of inventory. 
  • Print and organize pull sheets for physical inventory counts. 
  • Assist the production team in following procedures to put back excess material into inventory and record it in the warehouse management system.  
  • Assist with entering and correcting inventory data into the system. 
  • Prepare and distribute weekly/monthly inventory reports as required.  
  • Work with Receiving and Warehouse staff, Purchasing, Accounting, and Production departments to resolve inventory discrepancies and billing issues. 
  • Strive to reduce waste, recycle products whenever possible, and reuse resources when practical.
  • Provide daily feedback briefs to the Operations Manager on any inventory issues interrupting production or affecting the customer.  
  • Assist the warehouse team with annual inventory audits.  
  • Keep personal work areas clean, neat & organized.

Requirements

Requirements

  • Minimum of one year experience in a logistics, manufacturing, warehouse or production environment. 
  • Experience in warehouse inventory a plus. 
  • High school diploma 
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-speed environment, follow standardized work, and adhere to safe work practices in a continuous improvement environment. 
  • Experience and competence with MS Office Products including Teams, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word. Ability to learn and understand new software programs. 
  • Experience with X3 a plus
