Summary
We are seeking candidates for a potential opportunity as Tier 3 Systems Administrator to join our team supporting a large-scale federal IT environment. This role provides advanced-level enterprise administration and engineering support across hybrid cloud and on-premise infrastructures, ensuring secure and scalable operations for critical IT services.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and sustain enterprise services such as Active Directory (AD), Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), System Center Operations Manager (SCOM), and the Quest tool suite to ensure availability and scalability across the enterprise.
Implement schema extensions, manage Group Policy Objects (GPOs), domain trusts, and Organizational Unit (OU) configurations using Quest and other enterprise tools.
Provide advanced support and optimization for cloud environments, including MED365 Azure services, eDiscovery, and Exchange Online.
Ensure authentication, synchronization, user provisioning, and encryption compliance across both AD and cloud-based systems.
Monitor and manage data encryption services; deploy encryption clients and enforce compliance with enterprise and DoD encryption standards.
Customize enterprise monitoring rules and produce performance metrics related to uptime, downtime, and overall system health using tools like SCOM.
Develop and execute disaster recovery procedures and ensure compliance with Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) for monitoring infrastructure.
Support PKI/PKE integration and compliance per DoDI 8520.02 requirements.
Manage Exchange Online services, including mail flow, distribution lists, shared mailboxes, migrations, and service availability.
Administer eDiscovery processes, including data collection, analysis, and responses to legal and regulatory requests; investigate incidents related to data leakage, phishing, and unauthorized data exposure.

Minimum Qualifications
Extensive hands-on experience managing enterprise-level systems in hybrid cloud and on-premise environments.
Proficiency in Active Directory administration, GPO management, domain trusts, and enterprise directory services.
Experience supporting cloud services such as Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), Exchange Online, and enterprise-level eDiscovery operations.
Knowledge of enterprise monitoring tools like SCOM and associated reporting metrics.
Familiarity with data encryption tools and compliance standards.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent communication abilities.
Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust (Tier 3/NACLC) clearance.
Education & Certifications
Required (Foundational – one of the following):
Bachelor’s degree in IT / Cybersecurity / Data Science / IS / CS (ABET or CAE accredited),
OR CISSP / Security+.
Required (CE – one of the following):
Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ-305),
OR Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate.
