SUMMARY
The Mailroom Administrator plays a critical role in supporting Lucent’s healthcare operations, ensuring the timely and accurate handling of sensitive claims-related documentation. This position serves as a central point of coordination, interacting regularly with team members, managers, directors, executive leadership, and external clients. Given the impact on claims processing and regulatory expectations, strict adherence to timelines, accuracy, and confidentiality is essential.
Success in this role requires strong attention to detail, organization, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Consistent attendance, reliability, and accountability are critical, as performance in this role directly affects client satisfaction, compliance standards, staff productivity, and overall operational efficiency.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Process all incoming and outgoing mail, including opening, sorting, batching, and distribution in accordance with established timelines
- Scan claims and upload documentation into SDS with a high degree of accuracy and timeliness
- Route scanned documents to appropriate processors (e.g., CNF, COB, Pre-Ex, CV) to ensure prompt adjudication workflows
- Retrieve and provide claim copies upon request within defined service levels
- Respond to client requests in a timely and accurate manner, ensuring clear communication and resolution of inquiries
- Communicate daily updates to the claims team, highlighting volumes, priorities, and any processing issues
- Execute system processes to generate and distribute correspondence and letters in a timely manner
- Operate and maintain multiple types ofmailroomand scanning equipment
- Ensure all activities align with healthcare compliance standards, including the secure handling of protected health information (PHI)
QUALIFICATIONS
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Proficiency in computer systems and office applications

- Demonstrated ability to manage workload independently while meeting strict deadlines
