Loan Administration at Valon

The Loan Administration team powers all of the operations required to keep Valon running smoothly. From onboarding loans to handling insurance and processing payments, the Loan Administration team ensures that homeowners continue to receive a first-class experience at Valon from behind the scenes.

About the Role

As part of the Collateral Management team, the Senior Specialist will be responsible for performing a variety of functions related to residential loans. We're looking for someone who can switch between multiple functions while focusing on intricate details. The Collateral Management Senior Specialist will be responsible for processing lien releases, ordering and processing collateral files for paid-off loans, requesting collateral files for delinquent loans, and other various tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Process documents and tasks related to loan payoffs.

  • Assist with closing by completing the original deeds to various counties for recording.

  • Assist and back-up for the release of deeds of trust and trailing recorded docs to be received.

  • Manage deadlines for lien releases listed under relevant state guidelines.

  • Report tasks completed and identify improvements.

  • Prioritize and manage a high volume of requests daily.

  • Work with internal business partners to develop improved processes and system updates

  • Other duties as assigned

Ideal Background

  • Bachelor's degree preferred

  • 3-5 years of financial industry experience

  • 3-5 years of mortgage servicing experience

Minimum Qualifications

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Excellent critical thinking skills

  • Exceptional problem-solving skills

  • Ability to process a high volume of tasks

  • Collaboration and communication skills

  • Experience working with cross-functional teams to solve business problems and manage change in a fast-paced environment

  • Minimum education requirement: High school diploma or GED equivalent required
