    POSITION:  Early Childhood Group Lead
     

    SALARY RANGE: Per Classified Salary Schedule plus prorated School District Comprehensive Benefits Package.  Nine-month position (follows the school calendar with a daily schedule to be determined by the principal and special education staff).  Salary range is $19.95-$36.08 per hour, depending on education and experience

    Required Qualifications & Skills

    • Experience: Previous experience in childcare, teaching, or leading an infant/toddler room.
    • Education: Hold a current early childhood professional credential level II or higher in version 3.0, as determined by the Colorado Department of Early Childhood, have a minimum of nine (9) months (1,365 hours) of verifiable experience in the care and supervision of infants and/or toddlers, and:
      • (a) Has completed one (1) three (3) semester credit hour course in infant/toddler development; or
      • (b) Has completed the Department-approved expanding quality in infant and toddler care training course.
      • Current First-Aid and CPR certification
      •  
    • Must be at least 19 years old
    • Skills: Strong communication, leadership, and organization skills with a compassionate, patient demeanor.

     

    Key Responsibilities

    • Leadership & Staff Supervision: Mentor, support, and guide infant caregivers, providing training to improve quality of care.
    • Classroom Management: Ensure compliance with state licensing, child-to-staff ratios, health protocols, and cleaning routines.
    • Curriculum & Development: Plan and implement age-appropriate activities focusing on cognitive, social, and motor development.
    • Infant Care & Safety: Maintain a safe, hygienic, and nurturing environment; track daily attendance, health, and feeding schedules, and diaper changes.
    • Family Partnerships: Build positive relationships with parents, providing daily reports on child development and milestones.

    CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:          

    •  Position follows the school calendar and daily school schedule.
    • All contracts/agreements for employment of personnel shall be subject to the approval of the Board of Education. Direct deposit of payroll is a condition of employment.
