About the Department

Applications will be reviewed as they are received.  Applications accepted until the positions are filled. 

This part-time seasonal position is responsible for the operation of the Sprecher Brewing Outdoor Oasis concession stand located at the Richard E. Maslowski Community Park in the City of Glendale. The Concessioner must have knowledge of hours of operation, handling or monies, and policies of the facility. Concessioners are expected to provide a positive image of the City of Glendale by using attentive, conscientious and courteous behavior on the job. 

Employment Information:         
     
Spring/Summer Months (May 16 - September 30)
Wednesdays – Sundays
Shifts vary 

 

Position Duties

Duties include: 

  • Food Preparation.
  • Selling of food and drinks.
  • Collecting money and making change.
  • Operation of cash register.
  • Responsible for picking up supplies and food for the concession stand as directed.
  • Responsible for concession inventory.
  • Cleaning of concession area and surrounding concession building.
  • Reconciliation of money at the end of the shift.
  • Communicate clearly and effectively with the public
  • Follow proper opening and closing procedures as assigned.
  • Report equipment problems or other pertinent information to the park supervisor.
  • Other duties as assigned by park supervisor.

Other Qualifications

General Requirements: 

  • Must be 18 years or older
  • Possess a valid Wisconsin driver's license or ID
  • Required to take the Responsible Beverage Course and be able to obtain the necessary license to serve alcohol
 
Knowledge, Abilities & Skills Required:
  • Staff must be able to demonstrate and perform proper communication skills with the public
  • Be able to work with money accurately
  • Follow proper concessions safety and food preparation etiquette
 
Physical Demands
  • Must be physically able to stand for long periods of time
  • Handle exposure to all types of weather
  • Have the physical ability to lift various weights in excess of 50 pounds.
 
 
WORK ENVIRONMENT
  • The noise level in the work environment is relatively loud
  • Staff with be exposed to various outside temperature conditions
