Summary

We are looking for dynamic and energetic counselors seeking an engaging summer of FUN! The ideal person would be able to support student learning throughout campus by aiding in all summer program activities. We are looking for those who have skills in a high energy environment as students play, learn, grow, and develop new skills. We are seeking those that can maintain a structured and positive environment that is Christ-centered. This is a ministerial position.

Responsibilities  

• Responsible for supporting daily instruction of students and summer program routines and activities
• Assist with projects, collating, printing and other assignments
• Participate in small group learning, monitoring, and facilitation
• Maintains a clean and attractive environment
• Responsible for supporting student management in keeping with the school discipline policy
• Ensures the safety and health of students at all times
• Attends summer program meetings as requested
• Set-up, tear down, and cleanup of all utilized areas
• Timely planning and informing program director of supply needs
• Maintains positive relationships with parents, communicating regularly and keeping them informed of upcoming activities; handles inquiries and concerns promptly with Grace
• Conduct oneself in a professional and Christian manner
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

Qualifications

• Born Again Christian walking faithfully with God, has a personal testimony, and lives a consecrated life devoted to Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior
• Previous experience and/or training with elementary age educational or childcare programs
• CPR Certified

• Communication skills in written and spoken words to students, parents, and staff
• Interpersonal and organizational skills
• Support established learning objectives/outcomes consistent with summer program goals
• Organizes the physical setting of the classroom so that it contributes to learning
• Exhibits enthusiasm for the program and students

Program hours: 7:00am - 6:00pm
