Security Officer - Elko
Pay Range: $15 - $ 18 per hour
*Housing options available after 90 days*
The Security Officer is responsible for the safe operation of the Casino, ensuring the safety of guests and employees while protecting the assets of the casino. Coordinate activities with all casino departments. Between Maverick Casino & Hotel, Gold Country Inn & Casino, and High Desert Inn.
How You'll Succeed
· Assist patrons as needed and provide excellent customer service internally and externally.
· Ensure all reports and correspondences are properly completed in a timely manner.
· Maintain an open line of communication with management.
· Identify security issues and develop solutions in coordination with management.
· Patrol company property, protect assets and ensure safety of all guests and personnel.
· Document and effectively write reports on all incidents.
· Respond to and handle emergencies using the proper method while simultaneously using the correct safety procedures.
· Ensure the safety of all patrons and employees.
· Ensure adherence of Nevada and federal laws.

Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should have previous Security experience and knowledge that includes:
• High School Diploma or equivalent experience
• Certified in CPR/First Aid and/or EMT preferred.
• Working knowledge of cash handling and knowledge of State of Nevada Gambling regulations and rules.
• Encourage mutual respect, dignity and integrity with all staff by setting positive examples.
• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Maintain a positive and professional demeanor.
• Must be dependable.
• Must be registered with Nevada Gaming Control Board.
• Ability to obtain CPR, First Aid and AED certifications.
• Must demonstrate and use sound judgement.
• Basic computer skills required.
• Ability to read and comprehend all documentation.
• Ability to communicate effectively at all times, with all levels of employees and guests.
• Neat, professional appearance with good personal hygiene.
• Must be fluent in English.
• Excellent communication skills, verbal and written.
