Job Description

Job Purpose:

To assist in maintaining the cleanliness and orderliness of hotel premises, ensuring a pleasant and positive guest experience by managing linen and cleaning tasks.

Job Responsibilities:

  1. Clean rooms as needed, including hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, locker rooms, and other work areas.
  2. Abide by the regulations set forth by the material safety data sheets when using chemicals.
  3. Move and arrange furniture, dust, and polish furniture, metalwork, and equipment.
  4. Sweep, scrub, wax, and polish floors using brooms, mops, and powered machinery. Clean rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies with a vacuum cleaner.
  5. Collect soiled linens for laundering and store clean linens in the linen closet.
  6. Clean bathrooms and replenish supplies as needed.
  7. Restock rooms with necessary supplies (towels, etc.) and prepare the cleaning cart with appropriate supplies for the shift.
  8. Wash walls, ceilings, woodwork, windows, door panels, and sills.
  9. Empty wastebaskets and clean ashtrays; transport trash to disposal areas.
  10. Greet guests in a friendly and warm manner.
  11. Perform other duties as assigned.
