Assistance


Location:  MEF
Associates has offices in both Alexandria, VA and Seattle, WA.  This position can also be remote.

The Opportunity


In this role, you will help lead and
collaborate on projects providing technical assistance in areas such as TANF (Temporary
Assistance for Needy Families), SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance
Program), workforce, housing, and career and technical education. Along with
training and technical assistance in key topical areas, the projects may
involve evaluation technical assistance to local evaluators or public sector
programs.  The role represents a unique
opportunity to join a growing business and to work on a wide variety of
large-scale technical assistance efforts.


Qualifications


An undergraduate degree in sociology, public
policy, economics, or a related field. Ideal candidates will also have relevant
graduate training.


·       Prior experience designing and
delivering technical assistance and training activities at the federal, state,
or local level

·       Expertise in areas related to TANF, SNAP, workforce,
and/or other social service programs

·       Experience facilitating and giving
presentations to groups

·      Demonstrated excellence in
writing and verbal communication 

Effective project management
skills with ability to multi-task and prioritize a varied workload in a
fast-paced environment 


Proficient in interpersonal
skills and collaborating with others in a respectful way


Ability to travel domestically
on occasion as public health conditions permit
