ASPIRUS ST. LUKE'S HOSPITAL in Duluth, MN is seeking a FINANCIAL ANALYST to join our FISCAL SERVICES team!

Salary Range: $30.05 - $43.57 Hourly
Schedule/Hours: DAY ONLY, 8 hours
Weekend Requirement: Generally No Weekends
FTE: FULL TIME, 1.00 FTE


Under guidance from the Director, the Fiscal Services Financial Analyst is responsible for providing financial analysis and information and the related impacts to Aspirus leadership so that decisions can be made regarding Aspirus operations. This includes retrospective and prospective analysis. This position collaborates with clinical leadership, finance, and other professional staff to produce accurate and effective analysis in a timely manner.

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

  • Knowledge of accounting standards, practices, and analysis normally acquired through completion of a Bachelor’s Degree in accounting, finance, or related area.
  • Three to five years of experience in the area of financial analytics preferably in health care.
  • Advanced skills and strong fluency in Microsoft Excel formulas and functions as well as ability to work with large volumes of data and analysis
  • Possess strong analytical and mathematical skills.
  • Possess strong data gathering skills.
  • Possess good written and oral communication skills.
  • Possess good analysis work product presentation skills to meet the needs of the reader.
  • Experience with electronic medical record billing systems, knowledge of EPIC is preferred.
  • Possess a high level of resourcefulness, innovation, and interpersonal and critical thinking skills.
  • Familiarity with data query/data management tools is preferred.
  • Ability to use independent judgment and decision-making.
  • Ability to work within a team environment.
  • Must possess excellent time management and organization skills.
  • Flexibility and willingness to take on new task and challenges.
  • Understanding of general business concepts and regulatory environment.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills.
