The Company's North America operations are located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and Plymouth, Indiana, where we produce fruit and dairy preparations for a variety of customers including yogurt, ice cream and bakery manufacturers.
We are seeking a Plant Preventive Maintenance Manager for our Philadelphia location. This person will manage and design plans and programs for routine preventative maintenance and scheduled turnaround events at a plant or production facility. This person will ensure an effective system for processing and tracking work orders is in place, oversee inspection and survey procedures to create an effective preventative maintenance system, and communicate with technicians, engineers, operations, and other managers to ensure stakeholders are satisfied with maintenance planning. The Manager will create planning and scheduling procedures to establish the most effective and least disruptive maintenance possible and oversee spare parts management, budget monitoring, and reporting.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Manage and design plans and programs for routine preventative maintenance and scheduled turnaround events at the production facility. Maintain Production Equipment. Schedule / Perform PM tasks on Equipment, Generate SAP work orders and Maintain SAP-PMs. Maintain PM contractual relationships with external parties.
- Ensures an effective system for processing and tracking work orders is in place.
- Oversees inspection and survey procedures to create an effective preventative maintenance system.
- Creates planning and scheduling procedures to establish the most effective and least disruptive maintenance possible. Manage subordinate staff in the day to day performance of their jobs.
- Responsible for oversight of spare parts management, budget monitoring, and reporting. Ability to write CAPEX for projects. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets.
- Any other duties as assigned.
Formal Education Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical or Industrial Engineering.
- 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment with preference in food manufacturing.
Specific Experience and Key Knowledge Requirements:
- 5 years experience in Manufacturing & Production Operations
- Experience in Food Manufacturing a plus.
- Working knowledge of PLC and Siemens control systems
- Working knowledge with boilers and refrigeration systems
- Plant project management experience
- Working knowledge of plant electrical 480 / 277 /120v / 24VDC
- Experience computer skills: Excel, Outlook, SAP (Preferred)
- Excellent Verbal and Written Communication Skills
- Experience with suppliers, vendors, and working with various departments
