Food and beverage service plays an important role in the member experience. Throughout the spring and summer seasons, members gather across multiple venues including indoor dining rooms, waterfront terraces, seasonal outdoor dining spaces, and lively bar areas throughout the property. From casual afternoons overlooking the harbor to regattas, celebrations, and evening social gatherings, the bar and dining teams help create a welcoming atmosphere for members and their guests.
Behind the bar, teamwork and preparation are essential. Barbacks play a critical role in keeping service organized, well stocked, and running smoothly during busy shifts.
Position Summary
The Seasonal Barback supports bartenders and beverage service operations throughout the Club’s dining venues, outdoor bars, and event spaces. This role focuses on keeping bar stations stocked, organized, and ready for service while assisting bartenders during busy dining periods and events.
This position is a great opportunity for recent high school graduates, experienced barbacks, college students, teachers on summer break, and hospitality professionals seeking seasonal employment. It provides hands-on experience in beverage service within a professional private club environment.

Key Responsibilities
Bar Operations Support
- Assist bartenders with daily bar setup and preparation before service
- Restock glassware, ice, garnishes, mixers, and bar supplies throughout each shift
- Maintain organized and clean bar stations to support efficient service
- Replenish beer, wine, and liquor inventory as directed
Service Coordination
- Support bartenders during busy dining periods and special events
- Deliver glassware, beverages, and supplies to bar areas as needed
- Assist with maintaining a steady flow of service during peak hours
Facility and Station Maintenance
- Keep bar areas clean and organized throughout the shift
- Assist with opening, mid-shift, and closing side work tasks
- Remove empty glassware and assist with clearing service areas
Team Collaboration
- Work closely with bartenders, servers, and managers to maintain smooth operations
- Develop familiarity with beverage menus including cocktails, wine, and beer selections
- Contribute to a positive and professional team environment
