JOB DESCRIPTION 

Summary/Objective  

Ensure all LPO parts are accounted for, inspected, and placed on shelves. Assist with offloading trucks and report all damages to supervisor and note on all Bill of Lading (BOL) and request signature from carrier. Perform inventory frequently. 

Essential Functions 

  • Ensure freight is unloaded. 
  • Ensure the quantity of pieces and freight bill are compared and verified. 
  • Make note of any damage on the bill at loading and have driver sign and date. 
  • Report all damaged freight to supervisor. 
  • Place parts on the shelf and assist the team. 
  • Ensure inventory is always accurate and correct.

Supervisory Responsibility 

This position has no direct reports. 

Work Environment 

Well-lighted, heated and/or air-conditioned indoor office, production setting, outdoor/indoor shop environment or enclosed vehicle with adequate ventilation and protection from extreme weather conditions. 

Physical Demands 

Moderate physical activity performing strenuous daily activities of a primarily administrative or production/technical nature. Manual dexterity sufficient to reach and handle items 

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work 

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are primarily 8 hours each day, Monday through Friday on a day shift. This position often requires overtime. 

Travel 

This position does not have any travel requirements. 

Required Education and Experience 

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. 

Preferred Education and Experience 

One-year certificate from college or technical school, or three to six months of related experience and/or training, or equivalent education and experience. 

Computer Operations 

Basic personal computer skills including electronic mail, word processing, spreadsheet, graphics, etc. 

Work Authorization/Security Clearance 

Must be able to obtain TWIC badge
