Our Assistant Teachers support the Lead Teacher in the classroom, creating a nurturing and effective learning environment. This role involves helping to manage the classroom, assisting with the preparation of materials, and providing individualized support to children as they explore and learn. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining the smooth operation of the classroom and ensuring that all children feel supported and engaged.

Key Responsibilities:

🟢Assist the Lead Teacher in preparing and maintaining the classroom environment.

🟢Support children in their activities, providing guidance and encouragement as needed.

🟢Help prepare and organize materials for lessons and activities.

🟢Monitor and supervise children to ensure their safety and well-being.

🟢Collaborate with the Lead Teacher to observe and assess children's progress.

🟢Assist with classroom clean-up and organization at the end of the day.

Qualifications:

🟢Experience working with young children in an educational setting.

🟢Understanding of or interest in Montessori principles and practices.

🟢Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

🟢Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.

🟢Patience, empathy, and a nurturing attitude.

🟢Knowledge of the Montessori method and Texas Rising Star - preferred but not required.
