  • Location: Lenexa, KS
  • Hours: Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm

THE POSITION:

We are looking for a full-time Patient Service Representative to join our customer-focused, supportive team. Our Customer Service department is a fast-paced, high-energy environment and you�ll find yourself challenged and required to use critical thinking every day. You will also be surrounded by a close-knit and supportive group who has the same dedication to serving medically fragile children and their families.

  • Creates and confirms delivery tickets for Durable Medical Equipment (DME
  • Creates IV Delivery Tickets (as applicable)
  • Assists internal and external customers and staff through the Customer Service help desk, phone calls, email or face to face encounters
  • Serves as the Patient Services Coordinator of the Day (COD) (as applicable)
  • Maintains database of physician orders
  • Performs call-outs
  • Processes returned mail
  • Processes �to dos�
  • Obtains patient supply orders via telephone, fax or helpdesk
  • Obtains physician orders for products and services provided
  • Obtains and assists with new patient referrals via telephone and completes the DME intake
  • Updates patient account information on an ongoing basis, including patient change forms
  • Addresses complaints concerning billing or service rendered, referring complaints of service failures to designated departments for investigation
  • Coordinates courier service with appropriate staff for deliveries as needed
  • Maintain compliance with HIPAA and PHS requirements regarding internal and external electronic medical record (EHR) access
  • On-call duties/rotation may be required based on business need
  • Other duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS:

  • High school diploma or 1�6 months of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Durable medical equipment (DME) intake/ admissions experience preferred
  • Exceptionally organized, multi-tasking, problem solving and communication and strong keyboard skills. A high level of initiative combined with a customer service mentality is also required.
  • Experience in Brightree EHR a plus!
