Responsibilities and Tasks:
1. Encourage growth through industry connectivity
2. Prepare relevant curriculum for competency-based instruction
3. Develop and maintain current program and course outlines, goals and objectives
4. Align class curriculum with industry standards
5. Administer Utah State Board of Education skills tests when teaching secondary students
6. Actively assist in accreditation processes
7. Advise, evaluate, and record student progress
8. Maintain knowledge of current trends and developments in respective industry
9. Maintain certifications, licensures and accreditation standards for program area
10. Assist with student recruitment, retention and job placement efforts
11. Create, support, and maintain an active Occupational Advisory Committee and industry partnerships
12. Ensure safety and security requirements are met in the training area
13. Foster a productive learning and training environment
14. Encourage and exemplify professionalism and good work habits
15. Request and maintain supplies and equipment inventories
16. Propose required budget and purchase requests; follow purchasing guidelines
17. Prepare and maintain all required documentation and administrative reports
18. Performs other related duties as assigned
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
1. Current, unrestricted State of Utah Registered Nursing License
2. 4 years demonstrated experience in respective courses being taught
3. Must successfully pass criminal background check.
4. Valid driver’s license.
Preferred Qualifications:
1. BSN
This is a Level 2 full-time/exempt, benefited position. Level 2 Employees work a schedule greater than 1560 hours but less than 2080 hours annually.
