- Supervise and coordinate R&D trials at benchtop, pilot, and full scale production levels to validate new and revised formulations, ingredients, and processing parameters.
- Lead execution of plant trials, including preparation of trial plans, raw material coordination, process setup, and real time data collection.
- Maintain and optimize processing profiles in collaboration with Operations and Processing teams.
- Provide technical guidance and on floor support during trials to ensure correct execution and adherence to defined parameters.
- Supervise and mentor R&D Technologists and/or R&D Assistants, ensuring work quality, accuracy, and timely completion of assigned tasks
- Collaborate cross functionally with Quality, Operations, and Commercial teams to troubleshoot issues related to product performance, quality, or manufacturability.
- Conduct product evaluations including breakage testing, physical checks, and sensory observations to confirm compliance with product standards.
- Oversee daily operations of the R&D test kitchen, including ingredient inventory management, sanitation compliance, and regular equipment maintenance to maintain an efficient and orderly workspace.
- Supervise the preparation, coordination, and development of sample requests and customer specific product variations to ensure timely and accurate delivery to internal and external stakeholders.
- Coordinate submission of product samples for nutritional and analytical testing as required.
- Responsible for daily management and support for the team to achieve operational success.
- Monitor time and attendance and ensure compliance with Company Procedures.
- Approve the vacation requests.
- Carry out incident, accident and non-conformity investigations and associated reporting and action closure.
- Issue disciplinary action when needed.
- Perform other assigned duties.
- Follow Health and Safety rules and regulations.
- Must follow Good Manufacturing Practices, Food Safety, and Food Defense guidelines.

- Skills requirements
- College diploma or bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Food Technology, or a related field
- 3-5 years of experience in product development in food manufacturing, with hands-on involvement in formulation, testing, and process optimization.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint, with the ability to create and manage documents, spreadsheets, email communications, and presentations effectively.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to document findings, collaborate cross-functionally, and drive continuous improvement in product development
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
