Design Engineer
Summary:
The Design Engineer is responsible for researching, designing, and developing new products, systems, and manufacturing processes for Amphenol Energy Technologies. This role applies strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills to support product innovation, quality, and production efficiency in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The position requires strong communication skills, the ability to manage multiple priorities, and sustained focus in a collaborative setting.

Qualifications / Education / Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical Engineering preferred) or related field
- Minimum of five (5) years of related design engineering experience
- Proficiency in CAD software and relevant engineering tools
- Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
- Experience with electrical systems, cables, connectors, or power applications preferred
Duties / Responsibilities:
- Research new materials, components, and manufacturing processes
- Design and develop prototypes and engineering solutions
- Create and maintain engineering drawings, models, and specifications
- Analyze test data and validate design performance
- Develop and improve manufacturing processes and workflows
- Support continuous improvement initiatives
- Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, and operations teams
- Manage design-related production costs and efficiency
- Oversee design implementation through production
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and quality standards
