Position: Cost Specialist 


Location: Via Anchieta


 


Role Summary:


This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a strong desire to learn, develop professionally, and deliver outstanding, high-quality work, making a difference at Colgate. Here you will  take ownership of the end-to-end financial reporting, ensuring the integrity of financial statements and driving continuous process optimization to support organizational growth and transformation. In this role, excellent communication abilities to collaborate with various departments and across functions is key, and use your expertise to ensure accurate and actionable insights for senior leadership.


 


Responsibilities:




  • Lead the comprehensive end-to-end Cost of Sales/MYR (LE) planning and reporting cycle, including the preparation and review of all necessary exhibits.




  • Partner with cross-functional teams in managing the planning of the focus factory spending and ensuring key budget targets (Cost per Ton, VCC and NVO’s) are being delivered, also, attention to headcount, labour costs, utilities cost, maintenance spending and fixed conversion costs.






  • Drive the monthly reporting process:




    • Provide timely VCC and NVO reports and insightful commentary to functional leaders.




    • Responsible for the month-end financial closes and collaborating with CBS to achieve timely closes and maintain the financial integrity and accuracy of data.




    • Balance Sheet reconciliation of prepaid and accrual accounts, as well as GR/IR un-vouchered accounts, and monthly review of capital spending (MWIP) to ensure projects are on time and within budget. 






  • Responsible for the quarterly standard cost calculation and managing the process to ensure a timely submission of costs and intercompany prices for both materials and finished goods, imperative to collaborate with Global CBS, ensuring master data accurancy and reviewing rate routing and providing all explanation needed for significant cost changes




 


Required Qualifications:




  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.




  • Diversified financial experience, ideally within supply chain finance, reporting, analysis, and budgeting.



  • Intermediate English.


  • Advanced proficiency in Google Suite and demonstrated experience with SAP.




  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, oral, and written communication skills.




 


 Preferred Qualifications:




  • Experience in the Consumer Goods industry  or a multinational corporate environment.




  • Demonstrated ability to drive cross-functional collaboration and influence without authority.




  • Strong learning agility—comfortable with change, continuous improvement, and process innovation.




  • Assertive communicator with proven negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
