Application Engineer - Aftermarket

About the role:
WEG Electric Corp. has a great opportunity for an Application Engineer - Aftermarket to join our team in Duluth, GA. This role is responsible for procuring and quoting spare parts and services to customers, developing sales offers in coordination with the factories to deliver the best customer experience.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Map opportunities (based on new units sales) by working with the project management team and factory service team on the list of machines recent delivered or about to be delivered.
- Create value proposal and contact customers to offer spare parts and services explaining the value added.
- Request quotes from the factories.
- Create quotes for customers.
- Discuss the use and features of various parts and services based on the product knowledge.
- Answer phone calls and emails keeping great communications with customer and others.
- Provide exceptional customer service by answering inquires, resolving issues and providing product and order information.
- Keep Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) updated.
- Collaborate with customers and escalate issues through appropriate channels.
- Maintain quotes data base updated.
- Support the process of order entry.
- Provide updates for customers regarding to the status of their orders for parts and services
- Participate actively in special projects, focused on department-level improvements.
- Other duties and tasks as assigned.
Education:
- Electrical or Mechanical Engineering Degree or equivalent work experience.
Knowledge / training:
- Basic knowledge of electric machines, construction and operation.
- Basic understanding of industrial applications for motors and generators.
- Ability to read schematics and mechanical drawings.
- Intermediate level of MSOffice, (Excel, Outlook and Word) required.
- Basic SAP (preferred).
Experience:
- 4-6 years of relevant experience.
