Social Studies Teacher - Long Term Substitute

Salary Range/Hourly Rate: Per Educators Contract Salary Schedule

Start Date:  Anticipated dates of the position are August 24, 2026 - November 30, 2026

Work Week:  1.0 FTE (8:00am-4:00pm)

Student Level:  High School

Position Summary:
Social Studies LTS position at White Bear Lake Area Learning Center.   A successful candidate will support a broad spectrum of high school students to take risks and grow in their social studies ability. Performs difficult professional work providing a broad range of teaching services or specific learning program, assisting students to develop skills, attitudes and knowledge needed as a foundation for future learning in accordance with each student's ability, using a variety of teaching and learning methods at various levels to a targeted audience, and related work as apparent or assigned. Work is performed under the limited supervision of the Principal. Occasional oversight is exercised over Paraprofessional or Volunteer.

Education and/or Experience
Bachelor's degree in teaching, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience

Special Requirements:
Minnesota Teaching License Required.
BA or BS in Social Studies and/or equivalent
