Job Description

Description

Follow all ISO 14001/IATF 16949 Procedures and Work Instructions relevant to your work area.

 

Installs power supply wiring and conduit for newly installed machines and equipment such as robots, conveyors, and programmable controllers.

 

Connects power supply wires to machines and equipment and connects cables and wires between machines and equipment.

 

Diagnoses malfunctioning apparatus such as transformers, motors, and lighting fixtures and replaces damaged or broken wires and cables.

 

Replaces faulty electrical components of machines such as relays, switches, and motors, and positions sensing devises.

 

Repair and adjust electric furnace components.

 

Plans layout of wiring and installs wiring, conduit, and electrical apparatus in buildings.

 

Must have the ability to perform the following tasks, as well as train others on how to perform the following tasks: sweeper, trash compactor, power tools, electric and manual hoists, electric meters, computers, general facility repairs, tumbling repairs, water re-circulating system, molding press repairs, pusher oven repair, conventional oven repair, sizing press repair, machinery cleaning, oil and grease equipment, preventative maintenance, general electrical skills, repair/replace damaged electric wires or cables, lighting, power supply to plant and electrical cabinets, and equipment electrical components-transformers, relays, switches & motors.

 

Must have the ability to perform the following tasks without assistance: threaders, mig welder, oxy acetylene, plasma cutter, band saw, rigging, forklift, scissor lift, micrometer, air compressors and dryers, lathes, mills, cleaning and painting, basic math, propane filling, problem solving, installation of pipe and conduit, basic blue print reading, layout plans for wiring and conduit installation, electric panel and power installation, able to read and understand electrical schematics, PLC, and NEC Handbook.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school. Extra experience and/or training must be present for Class A consideration. Must be “electrically-inclined.”

 

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

 

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

 

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

 

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Must be certified to operate a forklift.
