Job Description

Summary

As a Cloud Migration Consultant, you will be at the forefront of delivering cloud migrations to our global clients. This role is ideal for a technically sound professional who is eager to master the Guidewire Cloud Platform (GWCP) and execute complex technical upgrades in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cloud Migration Delivery: Build/upgrade scalable configuration & integration Gosu code across PCF files, rules engine, and data models

  • Resolve configuration and application-level merge conflicts, Cloud Assurance findings, and deployment blockers

  • Participate in end-to-end CI/CD processes, including GUnit test creation, build reviews, and code promotion

  • Work with DevOps, QA, and Solution Architects to validate environment readiness and deployment outcomes

Technical & Functional Consultant skills:

  • Guidewire Ecosystem: Core competency in PolicyCenter/ClaimCenter; deep understanding of the Guidewire Cloud Standards and ski releases

  • Language & Scripting: Hands-on Gosu and Java; proficient in XML, JSON, and GUnit testing.

  • Insurance Domain: Strong functional grasp of the Policy Lifecycle, Underwriting workflows, and FNOL 

  • Cloud & Integration: Hands-on experience with Cloud API, REST/SOAP web services, Messaging plugins

  • DevOps & Tools: Proficient in CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Bitbucket, Git), Guidewire Hub, and code quality tools like SonarQube.

Required Skills/Experience:

  • 4 years of proven hands-on experience with Guidewire Cloud implementation or migration (minimum one full-cycle release)

  • Code Conflict Management: Proficient in analyzing 3-way merge conflicts, inferring developer intent across multiple branches, and applying informed decisions to achieve correct, conflict-free outcomes

  • Hands on experience  in CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions), GitHub/Bitbucket, Postman, Swagger/OpenAPI

  • Demonstrated ability to embrace AI and apply it to your current role as well as data-driven insights to drive innovation, productivity, and continuous improvement.

  • Certifications

    • Guidewire Cloud Configuration Associate Certification (Preferred in any of XCenters)

    • Guidewire Cloud Integration Associate Certification (required)
