Job Description
The Account Manager provides exceptional account management services to their clients as well as provides support to their sales consultants and client servicing team.

This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who loves to provide memorable service when it comes to their clients and for someone who understands that business is more than just closing the deal, it’s about ongoing customer service and client support

​The Account Manager will:

  • Manage and support the retention of an assigned block of group benefits business, including plan design, cost containment initiatives, and overall service delivery

  • Address client inquiries and concerns in a timely and professional manner, ensuring a high standard of client service

  • Provide support to clients and plan members with respect to claims, administration, enrollments, and general inquiries

  • Liaise directly with insurers and carrier representatives to coordinate administrative requirements and ensure timely completion of requests

  • Attend client meetings in a supporting role, capturing action items and coordinating follow-ups

  • Assist in the delivery of plan member education sessions, as required

  • Prepare and develop client and employee communication materials to support plan understanding and engagement

  • Participate in industry conferences, seminars, and professional development opportunities to support ongoing learning and awareness of market trends

  • Maintain a strong understanding of plan administration, including internal processes and carrier best practices

To be successful as an Account Manager with People Corporation, you will need:

  • Minimum 2 - 3 year’s experience in a client-facing role. Group benefits experience considered an asset.

  • The ability to act as a Brand Ambassador or key liaison for cross-functional services associated with People Corporation

  • An understanding of the group benefits industry, including funding arrangements.

  • Completion or the ability to complete GBA and/or Life License Qualification Program

  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment

  • A positive attitude and strong team player who works well with internal and external stakeholders

  • A solutions and results-oriented individual who demonstrates excellent problem-solving skills

  • The ability to meet deadlines and provide deliverables as identified promptly

  • Proficiency and comfort working with multi-channel technology

  • A valid driver’s license and vehicle

  • Time management- prioritizing tasks and responsibilities to ensure optimal productivity

  • Strong communication skills - must be able to articulate ideas, provide instructions and actively listen to team members and colleagues

The base salary for this position is between $80,000 - $90,000 annually.

This represents base salary only and does not represent other variable compensation components of our total compensation ( i.e. annual bonus, commission etc). The actual base salary will vary depending on local market conditions, geography and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience, and education/training.
