PREFORMER JOB DESCRIPTION - Colson Group (ARBCO Wheels)

 

  1. SCOOP MATERIAL FROM LARGE BIN AND WEIGH TO SPECIFIC AMOUNT.
  2. DUMP SCOOP INTO CYLINDER.
  3. ACTUATE PRESS TO COMPRESS MATERIAL INTO A WHEEL BLANK (PREFORM).
  4. REMOVE PREFORM FROM THE MACHINE AND PLACE IT IN A DRUM.
  5. REPEAT THE ABOVE STEPS THROUGH ENTIRE SHIFT.
  6. REPEAT MINOR BENDING AND LIFTING UP TO 10 POUNDS IS REQUIRED.

 

Requirements

Education: High school diploma or GED preferred

Physical: Must be able to bend, stand, stoop and pull. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.

Specific Skills: Must be able to read and interpret blue prints or be able to be trained. Familiar with machinery. Must be able to obtain a fork lift license or currently have one. Must be able to use height gauge, scale and calipers to produce quality component parts.

Experience: Prefer prior machine operator experience.
