Position Description
Key Responsibilities
- Lead by example, consistently following all Applied Medical policies, procedures, and standardized work processes.
- Train, develop, and support team members, ensuring consistent performance, adherence to quality expectations, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Promote a cohesive, professional team environment, maintaining open communication and reinforcing the company’s open‑door philosophy.
- Establish and coordinate daily production schedules, ensuring product is inspected accurately and meets all quality and productivity goals.
- Coordinate material and product movement according to inspection and production plans to support efficient workflow.
- Manage labor coverage, assisting area leadership with staff allocation and overtime planning to support operational requirements.
- Utilize SAP and other production systems to record inspection results, production output, scrap, downtime, and any issues affecting department goals.
- Monitor and analyze daily labor times and key performance indicators, leveraging reports and internal applications (e.g., webapps) to ensure goals are met.
- Review shop order documentation for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with quality and manufacturing requirements.
- Identify and escalate safety, quality, efficiency, or personnel concerns to area leadership to support continuous improvement and regulatory compliance.

- Consistently meeting inspection, quality, and production targets, with accurate documentation and minimal rework or non‑conformances.
- A well‑trained and confident team, demonstrating strong understanding of inspection procedures, quality requirements, and standardized work instructions.
- Efficient workflow coordination, resulting in smooth material movement, balanced workloads, and minimal delays or bottlenecks.
- Clear, timely communication with team members and leadership, ensuring transparency around performance, challenges, and improvement opportunities.
- Proactive identification and escalation of issues, helping prevent safety risks, quality concerns, or production disruptions before they impact output.
- Strong team engagement and collaboration, reflected in positive interactions, accountability, and consistent adherence to Applied Medical’s values and expectations.
- Accurate use of SAP and other reporting tools, enabling reliable tracking of labor, scrap, downtime, and performance indicators.
- Demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement, contributing ideas that enhance efficiency, quality, or team development.
Position Requirements
This position requires the following skills and attributes:
- Experience in leading meetings, project management, and formal presentations
- Resourceful in vendor sourcing and market research in order to implement cost effective and data driven solutions
- Delegation of tasks and sharing of company goals
- Experience leading teams and managing processes in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment; strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent, with the ability to read, comprehend, and communicate work and safety instructions effectively.
- Proven ability to develop, refine, and maintain process improvements, along with experience in root‑cause analysis using industry‑standard methods.
- Mechanically inclined with some familiarity of basic machinery, pumps, hydraulics, or other type of mechanically driven technology.
- Experience creating or updating procedural documentation such as Training Records, MIs, SOPs, and GAs.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience using SAP or similar material management software.
- Demonstrated capability in leading meetings, managing projects, delivering presentations, and delegating tasks while aligning team efforts with company goals.
- Resourceful in vendor sourcing and market research to implement cost‑effective, data‑driven solutions and work effectively in a diverse environment.
Preferred
The following skills and attributes are preferred:
- 4-year degree in Business Administration or Operations and Supply Chain Management
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Prior experience in SAP or other ERP data management systems
- Working knowledge of manufacturing and production, or process-driven work environments
- Experience leading in a manufacturing environment.
