We’re looking for our next Compliance Manager. Could It Be You?
The Manager, Compliance will be responsible for ongoing oversight and enhancements to Questbank’s Regulatory Compliance Management (RCM) program, ensuring continued compliance with OSFI RCM Guideline E-13 and other applicable regulatory requirements. The incumbent will perform key components of the compliance program through application of second line of defense activities such as risk identification, monitoring and testing, and regulatory compliance advisory support to Questbank’s Strategic Business Units. The incumbent will be an SME in the interpretation of legislative and regulatory requirements supervised by OSFI, FCAC, and other regulatory bodies applicable to Questbank product and services.

In this role, responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Performs second line of defense function pursuant to OSFI RCM Guideline E-13.
- Maintains compliance policies and procedures.
- Develops and enhances regulatory compliance training to ensure operation effectiveness and adherence to applicable laws.
- Manages reportable compliance issues, remediation plans, compliance test findings.
- Contributes to internal and external reporting, including documents for regulators and auditors during examinations and on an ad-hoc basis.
- Conducts research and data aggregation support on regulatory initiatives
- Liaise with internal stakeholders as a Compliance SME, communicating process changes and recommendations to business units as a result of oversight activities
- Provides dedicated advisory support to new initiatives and changes to products and services
- Maintain annual test plan of regulatory requirements and key control testing of Questbank Strategic Business Units
- Mentoring and coaching direct reports and other supporting members of the Compliance team
- Manages regulatory data and control documentation within the EGRC tool

- Have a minimum of 6+ years of experience in the financial services industry, specifically in Regulatory Compliance, in a progressive management role.
- Have advanced knowledge of the financial services regulatory environment, including applicable Federal and Provincial laws and regulations.
- Have a high proficiency in Google Suite and compliance softwares.
- Have the ability to interpret complex regulations and requirements and translate into internal policies.
- Have the ability to analyze critical details of business issues and workflow as a basis for suggesting areas for improvement.
- Have the ability to gather, analyze, document and present large volumes of information in a succinct and organized manner.
- Have the ability to collaborate with all internal and external stakeholders (Management, auditors, regulators).
- Have the ability to acclimate to an agile environment, often managing multiple deliverables simultaneously
- Have experience as a people leader
Compensation Information:
- Base salary range: $120,000 - $135,000
- The final compensation package will be commensurate with the successful candidate's experience, skills, and geographic location (Canada). It includes a comprehensive benefits plan and a competitive incentive (bonus) program for Full-Time Permanent roles.
