    Minimum Requirements: 
    - Valid NYS Teaching Certification & current GTA member

    Desired Qualifications: 
    - Experience with Regents-level curriculum and standards-based instruction
    - Previous experience with student intervention or academic support programs.

    Position Summary/Responsibilities: 
    Teachers selected for this position will either facilitate Regents review sessions on Saturdays to support students taking Regents Exams in June 2026 &/or Seniors needing to meet minimum requirements for on-time graduation in June 2026. Limited after school session may be an option. See building principal if interested.

    Postion Responsibilities:
    - Student Outreach: Identify and invite qualifying students via electronic communication and direct mailings. All communications must detail the session time, location, targeted learning standards, and relevance to the specific state-required exam.
    - Marketing & Recruitment: Once dates are confirmed, instructors are required to advertise their sessions. Promotion within PLCs and via the Principal's S'more newsletter is highly encouraged.
    -Instructional Alignment: Consult with the School Improvement Leader (SIL) for your content area and the building MTSS coach to ensure that review materials are aligned with state standards and building goals.
    - Facility Coordination: Complete the online facility use form for all sessions being facilitated.
    - Planning & Budgeting: Discuss the plan with the building principal to confirm dates, times, and session lengths, ensuring they are within building budget allotments.
    - Session Management: Instructors will manage sessions based on a budgeted ratio of one teacher per 25 students. Please note that if student interest falls below 15 participants, the session may be cancelled or postponed.
    - Other Duties: Perform other duties as assigned.
     Instructors are responsible for facilitating comprehensive review sessions tailored to the specific content and standards of their assigned course. Teachers must provide targeted preparation for the following areas: 
    -Algebra I: linear/exponential functions, quadratic equations, and statistics
    - Geometry: congruence, similarity, right triangles, and coordinate geometry
    - Algebra II: polynomial, rational, and radical relationships, trigonometry, and probability
    - Biology: biochemistry, homeostasis, reproduction, genetics, and evolution
    - Earth & Space Science: planetary systems, Earth's history, and atmospheric processes
    - Chemistry: atomic structure, matter, chemical bonding, and kinetics
    - Global History: historical developments, global systems, and thematic analysis
    - US History: constitutional foundations, industrialization, and modern domestic/foreign policy
    - English: reading comprehension, argumentative writing, and text analysis.

    For senior-level courses, focus must remain on meeting graduation requirements and mastery of essential standards. Across all senior courses, instruction should prioritize key state standards, including critical thinking, civic literacy, research methodologies, and effective communication, ensuring all seniors are fully prepared for their specific graduation requirements in June 2026.
    - English 12: focus on the GCSD Senior Portfolio and advanced literary analysis
    - Citizens in Action (CIA): instruction centers on the personal finance project and the public policy research paper
    - Physical Education 12: emphasize fitness standards and the maintenance of a 65% minimum final average.
