Job Description

Travelzoo is seeking a Head of Sales, Travel, UK to join our team in London. The Head of Sales, Travel, UK will be responsible for overseeing all travel sales activities across the UK market and leading a team of four Sales Managers, ensuring consistent performance against targets while supporting the overall commercial strategy. The position will interact closely with and report directly to the General Manager, UK.

  • Responsible for ensuring the team achieves individual quarterly revenue targets and goals
  • Inspired to create a KPI-driven and motivated sales culture while ensuring the highest quality content and value for Travelzoo members
  • Assertive in identifying new strategic clients and implementing effective sales strategies to grow the UK client base
  • Eager to work closely with Production and Publishing teams to maximize revenue opportunities and ensure an efficient pitch-to-publish process
  • Perseverant in using Salesforce and reporting systems to monitor performance and drive results-oriented behaviour
  • Willing to build strong cross-functional and interdepartmental relationships to maximize business opportunities and operational efficiency
  • Dedicated to representing Travelzoo at industry events and maintaining a strong presence within the UK travel industry
  • Empowered by working with colleagues across Europe and the US to ensure opportunities are fully leveraged and the best content is secured for our members



You are ideally…


  • A professional with at least 8-10 years of relevant sales experience within the travel industry, ideally within media, advertising or digital publishing
  • Experienced in sales leadership, team development and performance management
  • Highly familiar with online CRM tools such as Salesforce to organize sales activities, reporting and forecasting
  • Excellent in planning, developing, and executing online sales strategies
  • Knowledgeable of the online travel, subscription or media publishing industry
  • An outstanding organizational and interpersonal communicator with particular emphasis on presentation, sales expertise, and negotiation techniques
  • A high-performance thinker with a strong work ethic and a true hands-on approach
  • Confident and effective in building relationships with senior stakeholders across the travel industry
  • An analytical thinker with strong commercial acumen
  • Able to achieve results while working independently and collaboratively
  • Degree educated
  • Fluent in English
