The Simulator Technician reports directly to the Lead Simulator Technician and is responsible for conducting technical analysis of product implementations, modifications and enhancements to F-35 Pilot Training Devices in accordance with specific customer specifications and implementations.
The Simulator Technician also:
- Troubleshoots technical problems and issues with the training devices
- Determines technical solution in accordance with product and customer specifications
- Recommends actions to company or customer representatives for coordinative product solution
- Assesses product needs in accordance with customer specifications
- Conducts technical training and product briefing with customers, vendors and company representatives
- Readies training devices for customer use and assists with mission specific preparations
- Acts as local on-site representative to customer's organization
- Maintain DoD 8570 Level IAT-II certification
OTHER JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Document all unusual operational/maintenance problems to support identifying failure trends
- Work with and communicate well both orally and written in a team environment as this position involves significant interface with customer personnel at all levels
- Must be a self-starter and have the ability to establish and maintain a library of technical documentation
- Manage and track multiple engineering and logistic support activities, providing periodic status to the customer and program management team
