Your role as a Day Shift Respiratory Therapist:
As a Full-Time Day Shift Respiratory Therapist, you will:

• Set up and operate devices such as mechanical ventilators, therapeutic gas administration apparatus, environmental control systems, and aerosol generators.

• Ensure specified parameters of treatment such as volume, gas concentration, humidity, and temperature are accurate and safe.

• Administer medicinal gases and aerosol drugs under physician orders.

• Monitor patients’ physiological responses to therapy through vital signs and assessments.

• Assist patients with breathing exercises and respiratory techniques.

• Observe and adjust equipment to obtain optimum results from therapy.

• Consult with physicians promptly in the event of adverse reactions.

• Maintain accurate patient charts with identification and therapy information.

• Inspect and test respiratory therapy equipment to ensure it is functioning safely and efficiently, and arrange repairs as needed.

• Demonstrate respiratory care procedures to trainees and other healthcare personnel.

Requirements for the Day Shift Respiratory Therapist:

• Completion of an approved school for respiratory therapy.

• Active State Respiratory Care Practitioner License.

• Relevant qualifications and certifications in respiratory therapy.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

• Commitment to delivering exceptional service and patient-centered care.

Education/Experience:

• One to three months’ related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
