Position Overview
The CalAIM Data Analyst is responsible for managing data collection, accuracy, reporting, and analysis for all of City Net’s current and future CalAIM programs. This includes Enhanced Care Management (ECM), Community Supports, and any additional CalAIM services implemented as the program expands.
This role ensures that City Net meets all reporting requirements set by the Department of Health Care Services (DHCS), Managed Care Plans (MCPs), counties, and other funders. The CalAIM Data Analyst tracks program performance, prepares required reports, supports billing and documentation compliance, and helps leadership understand program outcomes through clear data analysis and reporting.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to translate complex data into clear, meaningful information for both internal teams and external partners.
Key Responsibilities
CalAIM Program Data Management
· Collect, organize, and maintain accurate data for all CalAIM programs, including ECM, Community Supports, and future CalAIM initiatives.
· Ensure complete and accurate documentation of member enrollment, assessments, care plans, services provided, referrals, and outcomes.
· Manage data entry and quality across HMIS, CalAIM platforms, electronic health records, and MCP data systems.
· Ensure timely submission of required reports and encounter data to MCPs and DHCS.
· Maintain organized documentation and version control for recurring reports and dashboards.
Reporting and Performance Tracking
· Track and report on program metrics such as enrollment, engagement, service delivery, billing, referrals, and member outcomes.
· Monitor required timelines, including initial assessments, care plan completion, and ongoing member contact standards.
· Prepare reports for DHCS, MCPs, counties, grants, and internal leadership.
· Develop dashboards and summaries that clearly show program performance and impact.
· Support audit preparation and respond to monitoring requests.
Data Analysis and Quality Improvement
· Analyze data across counties and health plans to identify trends, gaps in services, and opportunities for improvement.
· Review data regularly to ensure accuracy and consistency between documentation and reported outcomes.
· Conduct routine internal data audits to ensure compliance with program and billing requirements.
· Work with program staff to correct errors and improve documentation practices.
Data Visualization and Communication
· Present data in clear and understandable formats, including charts, graphs, and summary reports.
· Help translate data into meaningful insights for leadership, program staff, and external partners.
· Incorporate qualitative information, such as member feedback or staff observations, to provide a complete picture of program impact.
· Support grant reporting and community impact updates.
Collaboration and Cross-Department Support
· Work closely with program supervisors, case managers, finance staff, and leadership to ensure accurate documentation and reporting.
· Participate in CalAIM-related meetings with MCPs, counties, and internal teams.
· Respond to ad hoc data requests to support planning, performance management, and contract compliance.
· Assist in preparing materials for monitoring visits and joint operating meetings.
Requirements
Technology and Skills
· Strong proficiency in Excel and other data tools (e.g., Google Sheets, Access, Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms).
· Experience working with HMIS, EHR systems, or health plan data portals preferred.
· Ability to manage large datasets while maintaining accuracy and confidentiality.
· Understanding of HIPAA and secure handling of protected health information.
· Familiarity with California’s Medi-Cal system and CalAIM requirements preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in public health, social work, data science, healthcare administration, or related field preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.
· Experience in healthcare, homeless services, behavioral health, or community-based social services preferred.
· Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
· Clear written and verbal communication skills.
· Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across departments.
