Job Description

POSITION GOAL:

The Survey Crew Member ll will be responsible for performing advanced technical and professional field survey work for the Wisconsin offices. This position will serve as party chief for field surveys; review surveys to determine the validity of the evidence and methods used and to ensure accurate survey information; maintain equipment and inventories. 

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

•    Levels runs as directed by the Survey Crew Party Chief

•     Sets control points and benchmarks

•     Determines elevations and laying out stakes.

•    Operates all survey equipment, including Total Station and GPS Data Collector.

•    Sets up the instrument for data collection or level runs

•     Marks points of measurement with elevation, station number, ID numbers, or other marks.

•    Assists Survey Party Crew Chief as requested.

•    Cuts and clears brush from survey lines; loads and unloads equipment.

•    Plans and conducts topographical surveys, takes cross section

•    Supervises additional staff members assisting in survey assignments

•    Perform other duties as assigned.
