Boone Central Elementary School is seeking a dedicated, patient, and energetic Paraprofessional to join our team for the 2026-27 school year.
In this role, you will work closely with teachers to provide instructional, behavioral, and administrative support. This is a 10-month position that aligns with the school calendar.
Key Responsibilities

Instructional Support: Work with students in small groups or one-on-one to reinforce learning concepts

Classroom Management: Assist the teacher in maintaining a positive, organized, and safe learning environment.

Student Supervision: Supervise students during non-instructional times, including recess, lunch, and transitions between classes.

Adaptation: Help modify assignments and materials to meet the diverse needs of students

Communication: Provide feedback to teachers regarding student progress and behavioral observations.
Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required (Associates Degree or ParaPro Certification preferred).

Prior experience working with children in an educational or childcare setting.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to remain patient, flexible, and calm in a fast-paced environment.

Must pass a standard background check
- Must complete a Paraprofessional self-study competency program (is available after hire) unless the applicant holds a BA degree.
