    In accordance with the provisions of Article XIV-B of the contract between the Flemington-Raritan Education Association and the Flemington-Raritan Board of Education, the following position is available:

    Position: School Nurse-Preschool

    School Year
    2026-2027

    Effective Dates:
    09/01/2026 - 06/30/2027

    Qualifications:

    1. NJ School Nurse Certificate
    2. Demonstrated expertise in school health nursing practice and emergency procedures
    3. Knowledge of child growth and development, community and family dynamics, current health issues and wellness education
    4. Knowledge of community health and social services resources and ability to communicate effectively with non school health professionals and social service agencies
    5. Independent use of word processing, E-Mail, Internet and appropriate software applications highly desirable
    6. Current CPR/BLS certification
    7. Criminal history background check and proof of U.S. citizenship or legal resident alien status and a complete physical examination

    Job Goal:   To promote health and safety in the preschool environment and provide health services to preschool students, faculty and staff at all district preschool locations as well as contracted Private Provider preschool and Head Start locations; to assist with the teaching of sound health practices.

    Salary: 
    Salary range: $64,580 to $95,535, in accordance with the established FREA Salary Guide. Placement on the guide will be determined based on the provisions outlined in Article 12, Section A.1 (Initial Employment) of the FREA Collective Bargaining Agreement. Salary will be prorated for partial-year assignments.


    Benefits:
    Eligibility for benefits is based on length of service and full-time employment status. In accordance with the FREA Collective Bargaining Agreement, full-time staff are eligible for medical, prescription, and dental coverage. Paid time off includes sick, personal, and bereavement days.
