Under the direction of the Fitness Facilities Supervisor, provides exercise instructor guidance to members during their use of the general exercise facility.

 

Education/Experience: High school diploma and at least 6 months experience in conducting weight/resistance training and cardiovascular training utilizing appropriate equipment.  Associates or BA degree in physical education, sports medicine, or related fields, preferred.  Three to six (6) months group exercise class teaching experience desired.  ACE, AFAA, ACSM or NASM certifications required within six (6) months of employment, if no degree is held.  Active membership in national organization devoted to the promotion of health and fitness preferred.  Participation in on-going continuing education efforts required. BCLS within 90 days of employment.
