The USRM Data Analytics and Engineering (DAE) team is looking for a Scrum Master II (SM II/Technical Project Manager) who has a passion for driving results through high performing teams and thrives in an environment of dynamic fast-paced solution delivery. This candidate must have hands-on Agile expertise. We are seeking a passionate and technical SM II to join our Digital, Service and Customer data and analytics portfolio. This Scrum Master will support engineering Squads through the complete SDLC process to include Digital Tagging, Analytics Implementation/Collection and Data Engineering. This role is critical to enable delivery of digital data collection infrastructure, advanced tracking solutions, and data orchestration and curation. This is a great opportunity to work in a high performing environment where engineers use tag management platforms like Tealium, or Google Tag Manager (GTM), and Analytics systems such as Adobe Analytics, CJA, CDP, Google Analytics, and Snowflake.
Your Squads are located in Boston, Portsmouth, Seattle, Plano and remote locations. This role is inside the US Retail Markets (USRM) Technology team and will report to the Director in Business Data Solutions Engineering (BDSE) within the USRM Data Analytics and Engineering (DAE) team.

In this key role, you will be responsible for overseeing the agile practices for a group of agile business data delivery engineering teams responsible for Digital, Customer and Service data initiatives. Your mission is to cultivate a healthy, mature, and high performing environment that is both effective and sustainable. By partnering with Engineering Director, Product Owners (POs), Engineering Managers (EMs), and team leads, you will help foster an agile culture that drives continuous improvement and delivers high-quality results.
Oversees effective delivery within a portfolio, a team of teams. Coordinates portfolio-level delivery plan, dependencies, activities across multiple teams. Establishes Portfolio centric Technical KPIs/Metrics to drive continuous maturity and efficiencies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Agile Coaching and Mentoring: Provide guidance and support to agile teams, helping them understand and implement agile principles and practices effectively. Foster a culture of continuous improvement.
- Transparency Tools Utilization: Leverage tools such as PowerBI, Confluence, JIRA, and JIRA Plans to provide insights into team performance and progress. Ensure that teams maintain visibility and transparency in their processes.
- Opportunity Identification: Actively identify areas for improvement within teams, including process enhancements, team dynamics, and overall workflow efficiency. Champion innovative solutions to enhance productivity.
- Impediment and Blocker Removal: Proactively identify and remove impediments that hinder team progress. Work collaboratively with teams to resolve issues quickly and effectively.
- Issue Escalation: Monitor team dynamics and project progress, escalating issues to leadership when necessary to ensure timely resolution and alignment with strategic goals.
- Collaboration with POs and EMs: Partner closely with Product Owners and Engineering Managers to create a healthy and sustainable work environment. Facilitate open communication and collaboration among stakeholders.
- Program Increment (PI) Planning Facilitation: Successfully prepare and facilitate large scale Program Increment planning sessions throughout the year. These sessions will include many dependent teams delivering on a large-scale Pricing program roll out.
- Dependency Management: Proactively identify and manage dependencies as it relates to program delivery. Engage dependent teams to ensure proper lead time and visibility are provided.

- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and minimum of 5 years related experience
- Proven experience as a Scrum Master, Project Manager or Agile Coach, preferably within a portfolio or multi-team environment.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), Certified Agile Coach (ICP-ACC), or equivalent) are strongly preferred.
- Strong understanding of agile methodologies, principles, and frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, etc.).
- Experience supporting digital data delivery teams is a plus.
- Thorough knowledge of business functions and extensive understanding of business operations, strategies, and objectives
- Excellent facilitation, coaching, and mentoring skills.
- Proficiency in using agile project management tools (e.g., JIRA, PowerBI) for tracking and reporting.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization.

The full salary range for this role reflects the competitive labor market value for all employees in these positions across the national market and provides an opportunity to progress as employees grow and develop within the role.
