School Garden Integrator Role Summary:
Garden integrator will carry out a school specific garden curriculum, and maintain and support garden education at assigned schools. Garden tasks include but are not limited to; planting, harvesting, weeding, general maintenance and upkeep.
School Garden Integrator Responsibilities:
- Support a community engagement event during the year at each school
- Execute district garden curriculum in the classroom
- Connect school staff with resources
- Work with community volunteers
- Cultivate and maintain crops in the garden for possible School Nutrition Program integration
- Support seedling sales and other activities, in order to raise funds for all program costs
- Travel and work within District to all elementary schools
Qualifications: Active Educational Technician III certification (or ability to obtain Ed Tech III)
