Job Description

SEACORP is seeking a well-qualified Configuration Management Specialist I.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

Job Summary: SEACORP is currently seeking a Configuration Management Specialist. The Configuration Management Specialist will be responsible for configuration management issues associated with
maintaining and controlling all hardware inventory, documentation, product
releases, and software configuration management. Individual shall also work
closely with the Configuration Control Board in defining and implementing
procedures for releasing new products throughout the entire life cycle.
Individual shall provide change management and product configuration management
guidance.

Job Responsibilities Include:

  • Provide support to the
    OHIO Class Configuration Management (CM)/Integrated Logistics Support (ILS)
    group at NUWC.
  • Perform System and Subsystem reviews of Engineering Change
    (EC)/Engineering Change Instruction (ECI)/Software Update (SU)/Temporary
    Engineering Change (TEC) for OHIO Class submarines. 
  • Interaction with
    Participating Manager (PARM) during team and one on one discussions for comment
    review meetings and providing status of products. 
  • Develop alteration
    installation status reports.
  • Maintain Ship Acquisition System (SAS) database
    for assigned subsystems by creating Design Documentation Package (DDP) records,
    creating Logistics Support Analysis (LSA) sheets and planning records,
    performing Weapon System File Transfers (WSFTs) for applicable records, process
    4790/CKs submitted by installation activities, and maintain/update baseline
    records.
  • Develop WSFT status charts.
  • Access Configuration Data Managers
    Database-Open Architecture (CDMD-OA) to verify successful WSFTs and retrieve
    APLs.
  • Support Physical Configuration Audits.

Qualifications:

Education:  Bachelor's Degree. 

Experience 3 years of relevant experience. 

As a requirement of employment, all SEACORP employees must hold U.S. Citizenship

Work Environment & Physical Demands:  Office & Computer Laboratories - Sitting, standing, extended periods of time using a mouse and keyboard and viewing computer screens. Infrequent lifting of <40lbs. Movement between points within the same office or between buildings. Work is performed in generally consistent environmental conditions with some seasonality for temperature differences and lighting.
