We’re committed to serving our community with high-quality construction and landscape materials—and we’re currently looking for a skilled Equipment Operator (Loader & Excavator) to join our team at Stony Point Rock Quarry, our quarry and aggregate recycling facility located in Cotati, California.

What You’ll Do & What We’re Looking For
As an Equipment Operator at Stony Point Rock Quarry, you will play a critical role in keeping production running smoothly by safely and efficiently operating heavy equipment—specifically front-end wheel loaders, mid-sized excavators, as well as other machinery—for material handling, site maintenance, and overall site operations.
This position requires a recent, proven track record of hands-on experience operating heavy equipment in a production environment such as mining, quarrying, or construction. You must be proficient in all of the following equipment types:
- Wheel Loader (CAT 972 or larger): 3+ years of recent experience (within the past 5 years)
- Excavator (CAT 330 or larger): 3+ years of recent experience (within the past 5 years)
Please note: Experience with other equipment types (e.g., forklifts, skid steers, cranes, or smaller light equipment does not meet the minimum qualifications for this role.
Key responsibilities include:
- Mining, transporting, stockpiling, and sorting materials
- Performing routine equipment inspections and minor maintenance (pre- and post-operation)
- Assisting with plant and yard maintenance, including basic repairs
- Supporting a safe, clean, and productive work environment
Work Schedule
This is a full time, on-site position at Stony Point Rock Quarry:
- Location: 7171 Stony Point Road, Cotati, CA
- Classification: Hourly, non-exempt
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, starting at 6:00 AM
- Shift: 8 hours per day, with some overtime and occasional Saturday work as needed
- Pay range: $27 - $31/hour.

Requirements
Qualifications & Physical Requirements
- Proven track record of safe and competent operation of the required equipment.
- Must be eligible to work in the U.S. (no visa sponsorship available).
- Must pass pre-employment physical and drug screening.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Must be able to perform essential job functions, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Ability to safely perform physical labor (e.g., shoveling, lifting, climbing).
- Comfortable working at heights with appropriate fall protection.
- Strong spatial awareness when working near other people or structures.
- Reliable, punctual, and committed to safety.
- Effective verbal communication skills in English.
- Able to work independently and in a team-based, outdoor environment.
