Elmhurst CUSD 205 anticipates an opening for a full-time elementary instrumental music teacher (orchestra and band) with an anticipated start date in August, 2026.

Primary Duties:
Orchestra small group lessons for 5th grade students at multiple elementary schools 
Before-school ensemble rehearsals at one or more elementary schools two times per week (extra-duty stipend)
Band small group lessons for 5th grade students at multiple elementary schools
Co-teach middle school band ensemble rehearsals and/or technique classes


Position Requirements:
PEL with current certification in the content area
Proficiency on one or more orchestra instrument (required)
Proficiency on one or more band instrument (preferred)
Experience teaching orchestra and/or band is desired

IL Professional Educator License (PEL) with proper endorsement required and registered in DuPage County

School Year: 2026-2027

Minimum Starting Salary: $59,829.00
