About the Department

Under direct supervision, the purpose of the position is to provide organization, sanitation, and general maintenance in the assigned area of the assigned Department. Employees in this classification perform general and preventative maintenance work. Position is responsible for the cleanliness and maintenance of supplies in the assigned areas.

Cypress Park is 69.5 acres and consists of 5 Baseball Fields, 2 Basketball Courts, 8 Pickle Ball Courts, 2 Concession Stand, Jog/Walk Trails, Meeting Rooms, Nature Areas, Playground, 4 Soccer Fields, Swimming Pools, and Tennis Courts.  The position also provides support for special events held within the park, tournaments, special projects and may be assigned to other areas based on operational needs.

Days/Hours: Monday - Friday, 6AM - 11AM

Position Duties

• Overall cleanliness of park facilities (common grounds, parking lots, fields, courts)
• Cleanliness of park restrooms
• Cleanliness of park Rental Halls
• Setup and breakdown of Rental Halls and pavilions
• Field preparation for games / practices
• Provide excellent customer service to public
• Answering public general questions
• Safety and monitoring of parks and customers 
• Other general maintenance duties

Minimum Qualifications

High school graduation or equivalent and working knowledge of tools and equipment used in landscaping and grounds keeping work as well as using pressure cleaning equipment   Possession of valid Florida driver's license and acceptable driving record.

Work environment involves everyday risks or discomforts which require normal safety precautions typical of such places as office or meeting and training rooms, e.g., use of safe work place practices with office equipment, avoidance of trips and falls, and observance of fire and building safety regulations, and traffic signals when driving.
