Senior IT Solutions Architect – Job Description
Overview
The Senior IT Solutions Architect plays a pivotal role in shaping the organization’s technology landscape. This leader designs end to end solutions that align business goals with scalable, secure, and modern architectures. Designing mobile and web applications, working with rugged machinery in new and expanding business areas within Ceres.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop enterprise grade solution architectures that support business objectives, scalability, and long term growth.
• Evaluate and select appropriate technologies, platforms, and tools to meet functional and non functional requirements.
• Ensure solutions adhere to industry best practices, compliance standards, and security frameworks.
• Experience with offline systems.
• Guide teams through design, development, implementation, testing, documentation, and post go live phases.
• Serve as a subject matter expert across cloud, infrastructure, application, and integration domains.
• Conduct architecture reviews, code assessments, and technical risk evaluations.
• Mentor team members, fostering a culture of technical excellence.
• Partner with business to understand strategic goals and translate them into technical roadmaps.
• Communicate complex technical concepts to non technical stakeholders in clear, actionable terms.
• Take on the project manager role during implementation to ensure architectural alignment throughout the project lifecycle.
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field (Master’s preferred).
• 8+ years of experience in IT architecture, solution design, or enterprise engineering roles with a track record of creating products and systems.
• Proven expertise in cloud platforms (Azure preferred).
• In depth understanding of ERP, CRM, and Payroll systems.
• Strong understanding of networking, databases, data architecture, and integration patterns.
• In depth understanding of low code platforms (OutSystems) and Microsoft development environments.
• Hands on experience with microservices, APIs, Agile and DevOps practices, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience using AI in production systems.
• Hands on experience with LiDAR, data sensors, and real time data capture.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem solving skills.
• Ability to travel to remote locations in the US to work with field teams on product design and testing.
Preferred Qualifications
• Knowledge of the forestry industry is a plus.
• Understanding of GIS systems and functions.
