MHS is looking for dedicated individuals to join its expanding Medical Department as a part-time Health Services Staff Assistant Schedulers. This position is vital to maintaining the efficient operation of Health Services and will focus on administrative tasks, appointment scheduling, transportation coordination, and effective communication with staff and student sponsors.
Key responsibilities:
Schedule and coordinate off-campus specialty clinic appointments for students
Arrange transportation to and from medical appointments
Maintain accurate medical records and documentation
Assist with front-desk duties and general clerical support
Communicate clearly with students, staff, and parent/sponsors
Uphold confidentiality and health/safety standards
Work closely with the Health Services team to promote student well-being
Location: On-site in Hershey, PA
Schedule: Available shifts are: Tuesday - Friday 9:00 am - 4:30 pm and Monday - Thursday 7:30 am - 3:15 pm at the Health Center. This is year-round position with up to 29 hours/week.
Hourly rate: $19.45 – $25.96 (commensurate with experience). Part-time employees are eligible for a retirement savings plan, an employee assistance program (EAP), free lunches when on duty, and Hershey area employee discounts.
High School Diploma or GED required
1+ year of experience in a medical office or healthcare setting
Knowledge of medical terminology and medical records
Current CPR/First Aid certification
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and related software systems
Valid PA Driver’s License in good standing
Strong organizational, multitasking, leadership, and problem-solving abilities
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries
A team-oriented mindset and ability to work independently
Candidates should demonstrate a high degree of integrity, as all MHS staff are role models for MHS students
