Overview:

Electrical & Instrumentation Engineer (Power Focus) – Remote Opportunity

Work from home with occasional travel to project sites.

Prime Controls, a family-owned Systems Integration and I&C Construction firm, is looking for an experienced Electrical & Instrumentation Engineer with a focus on power systems. You’ll design electrical power, grounding, and lighting systems that meet industry codes and client needs while collaborating with a nationwide team.

What You’ll Do

  • Design medium/low voltage power, lighting, grounding, and protection systems

  • Create wiring diagrams, switchgear layouts, and system studies (SKM PTW)

  • Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and designers

  • Collaborate with clients, vendors, and utilities to support project success

What You’ll Bring

  • 5+ years’ experience in industrial or oil & gas power system design

  • Professional Engineer (PE) License required

  • Bachelor’s in Electrical or Computer Engineering (ABET accredited)

  • Strong technical skills (MS Office, Bluebeam Revu, Navisworks; SKM PTW a plus)
