Gonzales Healthcare Systems has immediate PRN openings on the 7pm - 7am shift+ for the position of Labor & Delivery RN.     We offer competitive salary and benefits including a sign-on bonus.  As an associate of Gonzales Healthcare Systems, you will have the opportunity to provide direct nursing care to patients in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols of the healthcare organization. The RN will:

• Implement and monitor patient care plans. Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition as appropriate.
• Serves as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
• Notes and carries out physician and nursing orders.
• Assesses and coordinates patient’s discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.

Requirements

Requirements include:

• BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP credentialed from the American Heart Association; ACLS, PALS, and NRP to be obtained within 6 months of date of hire or transfer; Intermediate Fetal Monitoring required within one year of orientation completion.

  Registered Nurse credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing.

• Annual Breastfeeding education

•  

  OB Certification preferred. STABLE preferred
