The Machining Manufacturing Technical Liaison serves as a critical technical bridge between Engineering, Maintenance, and Operations. You will be responsible for ensuring the seamless machining of engine components by pro-actively identifying technical faults, driving root cause solutions, and maintaining the rhythm of production.
Schedule: Monday through Thursday 2nd Shift
Working within the Production & Logistics (P&L) Way, read and follow written and verbal work instructions and standard operating procedures with emphasis on safety and quality inclusive of:
- Responds with a sense of urgency to deviations and stops in machining.
- Responds to equipment faults, identifies equipment issues and organizes support from maintenance to address the issue
- Monitors the operation of the machining line, identifies issues, and contributes to the identification of improvements in the manufacturing process and its equipment
- Receives deviations in machining, develops action plans, completes all containment activities relating to deviations, ensures proper documentation of containment and creates action plans
- Proactively communicates critical and detailed information to production Supervisor, Team Leader and Maintenance
- Initiates problem solving activities and utilizes root cause analysis tools in partnership with production leadership and engineering teams
- Attends and actively participates in the Real Time Management (RTM) and Pulse meetings
- Leads quality pulse meeting
- Conduct tooling tests with direction from tooling engineer
- Implement changes to equipment as needed.
- Coordinate special builds and product changes
- Demonstrates overall safe work behavior, including the utilization of proper safety equipment and adhering to safety guidelines
- Identifies and corrects potentially unsafe situations/conditions and escalates to the appropriate team to improve safety
- Performs routine inspections on products, processes, materials to assure work output meets specifications of shop floor paperwork
- Actively solves problems within the work team, escalating for appropriate support and cross-functional teams as necessary
- Contributes knowledge to improve Standard Work Instructions (SWIs) and Job Safety Analysis (JSAs)
- May be required to work on machining line due to business demands

- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum of 3 years of machining/production experience
OR
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum of 2 year of machining/production and 1 year of technical secondary education in maintenance or engineering
- Qualified candidates, excluding current employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States.
