About the Role…

As a Maintenance Planning & Systems Lead, you are responsible for owning the maintenance planning process, maintenance performance metrics, and CMMS systems for both Maintenance and Facilities operations.

This role ensures that all maintenance work is properly planned, scheduled, and executed efficiently, while driving a shift from reactive to planned maintenance. You will lead the transition from Tabware AI to Prisma (by Sisteplant), ensuring system standardization, data integrity, and long-term sustainability.

You will play a critical role in improving equipment reliability, workforce productivity, and overall maintenance effectiveness through data-driven decision making and strong cross-functional coordination.


About the Team…

The Maintenance and Engineering Team is comprised of skilled technical professionals responsible for supporting production equipment, utilities, and facility systems across Beech-Nut Nutrition’s LEED® certified manufacturing facility. The team’s core mission is to achieve Reliability Excellence by implementing efficient and effective engineering, maintenance, and operational practices that maximize capacity and productivity. Working cross-functionally with Operations, Quality, and Supply Chain, the team plays a key role in minimizing downtime, improving equipment performance, and supporting a safe, sustainable, and compliant manufacturing environment so we can continue doing what we do best – making high quality, safe, and nutritious foods for babies and toddlers!


About the Work Environment…

This position is located at the Amsterdam, New York LEED® certified production facility. Most job functions are performed in a well-lit, environmentally controlled office environment. You will also be required to work in an environment that requires hairnet, beard cover, safety glasses, hearing protection and lab coat. Restrictions include wearing of jewelry, nail polish and acrylic nails. Other personal protection equipment may be required for certain tasks.

What You’ll Do…

  • Own planning and scheduling of preventive maintenance (PM) activities for both Maintenance and Facilities systems, ensuring work is fully scoped, resourced, and executable 
  • Develop and manage weekly maintenance schedules, balancing labor availability with production priorities 
  • Ensure all work orders are properly planned in CMMS, including: 
    • Labor estimates 
    • Required parts and materials 
    • Tools and safety requirements 


CMMS Ownership & Transition

  • Serve as primary owner of CMMS systems, leading transition from Tabware to Prisma 
  • Lead system migration activities including: 
    • Asset structure alignment 
    • PM migration and standardization 
    • Data cleanup and validation 
  • Establish and maintain CMMS standards for: 
    • Work order quality 
    • Planning requirements 
  • Train and support end users to ensure successful system adoption 


Maintenance KPI Ownership

  • Track, analyze, and report maintenance performance metrics including: 
    • PM completion rate 
    • Schedule compliance 
    • Planned vs. unplanned work 
    • Equipment downtime 
  • Develop dashboards and reports to support data-driven decision making 
  • Identify trends and drive corrective actions to improve performance 


Reliability & Continuous Improvement

  • Support development and optimization of preventive and predictive maintenance programs 
  • Identify chronic equipment issues and support root cause analysis and long-term solutions 
  • Improve PM effectiveness by eliminating non-value-added work and optimizing frequencies 


Parts & Resource Coordination

  • Ensure required parts are identified and available prior to scheduled work 
  • Support development of critical spare parts strategy (ABC analysis, min/max levels) 
  • Coordinate with vendors and contractors as needed 


Collaboration & Leadership

  • Act as the primary liaison between Maintenance, Facilities, Production, and Engineering 
  • Lead planning and scheduling meetings

What You’ll Need…

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations, or related field OR equivalent hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • 3+ years of experience in maintenance, planning, reliability, or a related technical role in manufacturing.
  • Experience working with a CMMS platform (Tabware, Prisma preferred, or similar).
  • Strong organizational and planning skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Ability to analyze data and use it to support decision making and performance improvement
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and standard business applications.

Pay: The annual base salary range for this onsite role is $70,000 - $90,000. This is a salaried-exempt position.
