What you will do:
Douglaston Development is seeking a talented Project Manager to manage the construction-phase execution of a largescale, multiphase, multi-year public housing Comprehensive Modernization project. This role is an outward-facing representative of the Design-Builder to the public housing agency and its affiliated construction management and oversight teams.
The ideal candidate will bring approximately 5 years of experience in some combination of: design-build delivery, construction administration, design and engineering, rehabilitation, and NYCHA projects. They should excel at navigating complex agency relationships, be comfortable communicating across internal teams and with external clients and consultants. They should be comfortable owning the execution of complex workstreams that require stress-testing assumptions, delivering clear communication, aligning teams, documenting detailed work, and producing results that advance the construction project.
Key Responsibilities:
Overall project management
Serve as a key Douglaston Development representative of the Design-Builder to NYCHA, STV, and AECOM.
Represent the Design-Builder at weekly coordination meetings, construction progress reviews, and other recurring sessions with NYCHA and other agencies. Arrange, strategize, and issue agendas and minutes for one-off meetings as required.
Project Finances
Assist in requisition and payment application processes on behalf of the Design-Builder, in coordination with the General Contractor, ensuring submission accuracy, required backup, and timely delivery to NYCHA.
Assist with change order and allowance use administration, including preparing backup materials from subcontractors and consultants.
Relocation and Resident Engagement
Community Operator Design and Relocation Advancement
Design and Soft Cost Management
Hazardous Material Reporting
Other responsibilities as assigned by management
This role is not remote employees must be present in construction trailer in Harlem daily.
